In a unexpected partnership that challenges traditional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Uncovered
According to the authorized release, "A strange meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of prohibited rituals and fearsome transformations resonate through the darkness." The narrative presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret cult.
The adventure centers on "strange trials and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Metamorphoses
The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Extra Features
Players who successfully complete the adventure will receive an exclusive katana together with numerous objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This update also brings the game's third complimentary story episode, titled "The Mystery."
